Bible word Study: "Let's Expedite this..."

John 11:50  οὐδὲ λογίζεσθε ὅτι συμφέρει ὑμῖν ἵνα εἰς ἄνθρωπος  [human being] ἀποθάνῃ ὑπὲρτοῦ λαοῦ [Laos or the Laity] καὶ μὴ ὅλον τὸ ἔθνος ἀπόληται. Nor consider that it is expedient for us that one man  ἄνθρωπος [human being] should die for the People λαοῦ  [the Laity] and that the whole nation perish not.

John 18:14  ἦν δὲ Καϊάφας  ὁ συμβουλεύσας [the High Priest]  τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις ὅτι συμφέρει ἕναἄνθρωπον ἀποθανεῖν  ὑπὲρ τοῦ λαοῦ [the Laos or the Laity]. Now Caiaphas [the High Priest] was he which gave counsel to the Jews that it was expedient that one human being should die for the people [the Laity].

Luke 4:58-30
